Cátedra Ingmar Bergman

Last August, the forum of the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) of UNAM, hosted official workshops of camera and lighting given by the renowned Mexicans cinematographers Alejandro Cantú, Kenji Katori and Tonatiuh Martínez for the Cátedra Ingmar Bergman of film and theatre in the UNAM.
With the support of the coordination of Difusión Cultural and its entities: the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC), Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT), Directorate for theatre and Dirección General de Actividades Cinematográficas, the chair was created by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2010 in memory of one of the most important writers and directors in the world. In this space, attendees have the opportunity to enrich their academic education, which is the support needed to expand and strengthen the film and theatre industry of the university's community and society in general.
The training workshops are supported by Equipment & Film Design, the home of America's largest film equipment rental company, who with their contributions to art and high-end equipment have made it possible that students receive a three day training with real tools of a film set.
