Guanajuato International Film Festival

GUANAJUATO.- The spectacular Juárez Theatre was the ideal stage for the initial of the IX University Rally of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF), which will challenge students from all over the country to shoot and produce a short film in less than 48 hours .

"We are very excited about a support project and to encourage new talents and young university students," Sarah Hoch said, director of the film competition, who thanked the support of all the sponsors, including EFD, who in addition to contributing part of the team Film, was the venue for the Cinematography and lighting workshop given by Daniel Jacobs AMC and Marc Bellver AMC.

The streets of the colonial center were filled with support and applause to encourage the teams, they moved to their first location to start a journey that lead to travel the streets of Guanajuato to make the script into reality.

The teams that compete in this edition are from Mexico City, Queretaro, Nayarit, Guadalajara, Coahuila and Puerto Vallarta, and will have the professional film crew, as well as the support of actors such as Luis Alberti, Tatiana del Real, Alejandro Belmonte, Kristoff, Medina Ramón, Alejandra Zaid, Chistian Chávez, Macarena Miguel and Mario Corona.

"Here are the new directors of Mexican film industry," said Tatiana del Real, who was happy to be part of this initiative.

The participating projects are: The dead, The candelarias, The portraits of Simone, Lucas the great, Vanessa and Basic guide for the perfect death, which gonna be projected on Friday 20:30 hours at Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the next Day being awarded during the closing ceremony at the Teatro Juárez.
